Thank you so much Bill and Susan for making our wedding day everything we had hoped for. We, like many others I’m sure, were a little worried about how our wedding was all going to play out considering we live so far away. When we first got to Destin we met with Susan at the house we had rented and went over everything for our wedding (the times for everything, the food we will be having, the set up for the reception as well as for the beach wedding, and the DJ and bartender. Last minute we added the lighting package to our reception and it was beautiful. Almost all my family and friends stayed in the house we rented and even the day and night before the wedding people who worked for Bill and Susan were there cleaning up our kitchen and taking out our trash. The day of the wedding they set up everything and even worked around or guests playing in the pool and reception area. The wedding could not have turned out better. Everything worked out time wise and was beautiful. We had a variety of foods at our reception. We had fish, beef and chicken on our buffet as well as potatoes, mixed vegetables, rolls fruit and mixed cheese. We also had two appetizers that were plated and passed out to guests as they came back to the house after the beach wedding. We supplied our own alcohol for our bar just to insure we had what we wanted although Bill does offer to provide it for you. WE actually ran out of something at one point and someone got us more. Our bartender was fantastic and made sure to give everyone plenty of drinks. The only down side to that was at many times he was nowhere to be found and my guests started making their own drinks. My cake was done by Cheryl and was awesome! My flowers were the real only problem I had. After several pictures I sent to Suzan the florist Susan uses and emails we agreed on a certain type and color of flower. Needless to say when I saw my bouquet I asked “are you sure this is mine?” The flowers were beautiful although not at all what I had asked for. Then after even my photographer trying to get a hold of her(the florist) I was finally told she would look around town and see if she could find the right ones to fix it and later was told she couldn’t find any. I also was not offered any kind of compensation for having all the wrong flowers for my wedding. Susan referred me to Lynn for my photography and she was awesome. Susan also had a lady that did all the wedding ceremony coordinating. (I can’t remember her name, sorry) She did a great job and made sure everything went perfect. To sum things up Bill and Susan did an awesome job and everyone they used and referred me to was amazing as well. The only person I would not recommend is the florist they used because of my bad experience. I want to give a special thanks to Bill and Jim(the guy that worked for the house we rented). Most of my family and ourselves are from Joplin, MO and the day after our wedding a tornado devastated our home town. All flights were canceled into Joplin and surrounding areas. Bill contacted Jim for us and allowed my family to stay in the house we rented at not extra fee until they were able to make it home. It was such a nice thing to do.

Thank you Susan for making our daughter's wedding everything she always wanted! As you can imagine we were a little unsure how it was all going to turn out since we live in Bentonville, Arkansas and the trials and tribulations that come with planning an out of town wedding. You made it all so easy. It was everything we asked for and more! Even though we were on a tight budget, you made it look twice as expensive!!! Moreover, thanks to Mari for going above and beyond in locating a wheel chair for Alexis when she was stung by the stingray! It was so fun watching the people from the condominiums next-door watch from their balconies. One woman came over to tell us that her daughter was getting married soon and we gave her so many great ideas. Everyone loved seeing the bride carried to the alter and thought it was planned that way!! How fun. She is our only child and I cannot thank you and your staff at Destin Weddings for helping to make this a wedding we will all remember.Thank you Susan for making our daughter's wedding everything she wished for! Susan Parker and her company put together an incredible wedding celebration for us. We were married in Destin on August 7, 2010, and had a beautiful, unforgettable day. We planned the wedding from afar and coordinated everything through Susan over the telephone and email. Susan provided us with many choices and access to the best vendors. We could not be more pleased with how everything turned out. Susan is a pleasure to work with and I highly recommend her company to any couple looking to have a perfect wedding!

Would you recommend their services? Absolutely, I feel they are the best of the best!
Were you completely satisfied? 100% no doubt, their attention to every detail and complete focus made us feel like we were truly their only focus!
Were there any surprises? Only good ones, Susan and Billy came through as promised. My daughter never actually brought her Bouquet to the Beach and when they said ready, my daughter sid oh no my bouquet, I never got it. Susan litterally ran to the third story of the house to get it and met us back in what seemed like seconds.
Was the food good? The food was tremendous, I'm still craving the sweet potato casserole, I only took a small portion because I am not so big on sweet potato's. I wish we stayed longer just to finish some of the left overs. The roast was unimaginable, I really have not had better food in my life!
Any suggestions since it is our first beach wedding? We arrived a few days early to do some last minute coordinations, fortunately the house we had (Mikono's) had a pool. There were a few issues with the house, but Beach Reunion addressed every item very timely. They are rentals and there could be better attention paid to the maintenance and upkeep, but overall they addressed everything very nicely.
Is there anything that you would do different? Stay longer at the end. We really made a vacation out of this and had several people staying at the house and in the area. With all of the freebies for so many families, people have come back to us with they thought it was one of the most beautiful weddings they have seen, they said it really was like a fairy tale. They were also so appreciative that they squeezed in a beautiful vacation they couldn't have afforded otherwise. It actually gave us chills about how happy everyone was. Susan and Billy worked as a team and knocked it out of the park as far as we're concerned. No regrets and nothing different. I was panicked when I originally received their quote, but they worked their tails off and made it all come together.
Susan also has some people they recommended, Cheryl for the cake (THE MOST DELICIOUS CAKE I HAVE EVER HAD - seriously) and Lana for the flowers and decorations (Catches all you thought of and then more). These two ladies were simply amazing, it's like they read our minds on some of this. Everyone was thrilled with all of these people.
My daughter had hired a photographer that Susan had listed. I spoke to her on the phone and had some questions about her capabilities. What I was looking for was a picture similar to a picture my wife saw in the Knot magazine. I mentioned to her that maybe she could superimpose the bride and groom on the cake as similar to the cake topper with the beach background. She didn't understand at all and was very cross. I was thrilled to forfeit my $150 deposit and hire two ladies (photographers) my daughter foundwhen my daughter selected two women photographers who excuded enthusiasm and proffessionalism, she actually found them in the Knot magazine. They cost us 5 times the price of the other photographer but were well worth it. They are Vue Photography, Genya and Wesley-Ann and have been in the Know Magazine several times. They were amazing!!

I had only been to the beach 2 times in my entire life. I did not have a clue as to how to plan a destination wedding. I made several calls to local vendors in Destin without receiving call-backs. Then I received a call from the Destin Wedding Company and talked with Susan Parker who gave me the confidence and the desire to celebrate my upcoming wedding in Destin. We did not have a wedding site until she outlined several possible wedding homes that could sleep as many as 20 people and were within walking distance of a beach wedding. The home we selected with Susan’s assistance allowed us to have the reception on the premises as well. After the beach wedding we were treated to an incredible reception with several stations that included carved roast beef, sautéed shrimp, and chicken and pineapple k-bobs. As the guests arrived they were handed glasses of either red or white wine and an appetizer suitable for the occasion. After the reception and before we left to spend our first night in a local 5 star hotel Susan had arranged a send off with sparklers and blown bubbles that created a memory we will never forget. We will definitely be returning to Destin to celebrate our first anniversary.
